About Luminance Studios

Our Story

Luminance Studios was founded in 2010 by seasoned photographer Ricardo Hernandez and business partner Sofia Ramirez. Ricardo, a Miami native with a passion for capturing the city's vibrant culture and diverse population, envisioned a space where creativity could flourish and professional photography services could be accessible to everyone. Sofia, with her background in marketing and business management, brought the organizational expertise needed to turn Ricardo's vision into a reality. Together, they embarked on a journey to create a studio that not only offered top-notch photography but also fostered a sense of community and artistic collaboration.

Initially, Luminance Studios started as a small, single-room operation in the heart of Little Havana. Ricardo and Sofia poured their hearts and souls into the studio, working tirelessly to build a reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction. Word of mouth spread quickly, and soon, Luminance Studios became known for its exceptional portrait photography, event coverage, and commitment to capturing the unique essence of each subject. As demand grew, the studio expanded, acquiring more space and investing in state-of-the-art equipment.

In 2015, Luminance Studios relocated to a larger, more modern facility in the Wynwood Arts District, a move that solidified its position as a leading photography destination in Miami. The new studio featured multiple shooting spaces, a dedicated editing suite, and a comfortable client lounge. The location in Wynwood, known for its colorful murals and thriving arts scene, provided a constant source of inspiration and attracted a diverse clientele, from aspiring models to established businesses.

Over the years, Luminance Studios has had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients, including local businesses, national brands, and individuals from all walks of life.
